'Llanmiloe School is an Outstanding School’
In September our school went through a full inspection by Estyn – the Inspectorate for Education and Training in Wales. It is a very intense and rigorous process resulting in judgements about the quality of education provided by the school. I am absolutely delighted to announce that the inspection team judged our school as ‘outstanding’ with all aspects of school performance either ‘Good’ or ‘Excellent’ and these were highlighted clearly in their report. The school received three ‘Excellent’ judgements which is a fantastic achievement. In fact it is very seldom that schools receive any grades of ‘Excellent’ because in order to achieve this status a school has to demonstrate sector leading, innovative and outstanding practice which has to be amongst the best the team has seen.
As a result of this our school has been requested to write a case study of its outstanding and sector leading practice to be presented on the Estyn website as an exemplar to be shared with other schools. Sector Leading Practice at Llanmiloe School
Everyone involved with our school– staff, parents, governors, local community and, of course, the children –should all be very proud of our achievements!!
A full copy of the report has been sent home with your child(ren) today. I hope that you enjoy reading it.
The report is also published and available on the Estyn website, http://www.estyn.gov.uk/english/Llanmiloe
